It's often a struggle to get to that place you want to be. You keep pushing that boulder up the mountain. When is it enough? What is your definition of success?
The idea of "Boss of Me" was taken from a journal entry I wrote about struggling with work relationship. I quit that job. "I'm too old to be pushed around. I'm too young to be held down." ;)
"The Ride" is a metaphor for a couple falling in love while doing something they both enjoy which is ride motorcycles. But "The Ride" is also "the journey" of falling in love with someone and deciding that you want to stay with that person for the "the ride" of your lives.
Should everyone be forgiven? I thought so until I met a narcissist. You have much more power than you think!

It's about leaving a relationship and growing into the person you were meant to be.
This song was written in the style of a lullaby but has deeper meaning. There are times when we all must leave the safety of our cocoons, take our wings, and go on a courageous journey meant only for us. I dedicate this to my nieces: Caitlyn, Alisia, and Emma.
When you find out someone you loved isn't who they say they are.
