About Tracy
Tracy Eckstrand is an American singer-songwriter based in Rochester, New York, whose music lives at the crossroads of folk, Americana, and pop-rock. With a voice that blends warmth and resolve, she crafts songs that tell honest stories of growth, love, resilience, and rediscovery.
Eckstrand’s debut EP, “Who Is Gonna Rescue You,” introduced her heartfelt approach to songwriting, where every track feels like a conversation with a close friend. Since then she’s continued to expand her catalogue with numerous singles including, Forgiveness, The Ride, Hey Alcohol, to name a few.
Tracy recently released, “Boss of Me” and “Sisyphus,” as introductory teaser singles to her upcoming second album entitled, “Now That I Know,” releasing in April 2026.
Tracy worked as a school psychologist before pursuing music full-time. This experience sharpened her ability to listen deeply and write truthfully about the human condition. Her songwriting often reflects deeply personal themes. In interviews, she has cited the loss of her mother and the end of a long-term marriage as major influences on the emotional arc of her debut EP. Tracy’s songs often explore transformation: letting go of the past, learning to be oneself, and finding light even in the difficult seasons.
